First step, order your coffee at tbdcoffeeco.com. And then we begin.
We recommend purchasing whole bean and grinding them yourself to a medium-coarse, but a regular ground coffee will work just fine.
You can use any type of coffee. Don't get tripped up on thinking you need a certain bean or a certain flavor profile. Like any other type of drink, find what tastes good to you. If you're looking for a recommendation or a place to start, try this single-origin organic coffee from Mexico.

- Rinse your pour over filter with hot water, then pour out the water from the mug. Add your coffee and grab your hot water.
- Reset your scale.
- Pour in a spiral motion, from the outside toward the inside, until the scale reaches 50 grams.
- Pause for 30 seconds to give the grounds time to release CO2 and bloom
- Spiraling in and out, add more water until all the grounds are once again covered and the scale reaches 150 grams.
- Wait another 30 seconds and continue pouring until the scale reaches 250 grams.
- Another 30 seconds then it’s time for the last pour. Add water until the scale reaches 325 grams.
- Let the water run through the filter and your coffee is ready!
