Meet co-founder Ashley's grandma. An Italian woman that loved to feed the entire neighborhood. Her name was Natalie. Everyone called her Tally, but to Ashley, she was 'mama'. She played a sit-down accordion in her band, Natalie and the Rainbow girls. She owned a little restaurant where they always had fresh baked bread and she always brought fried chicken to picnics. Great gal.
After making our parents dig through dusty photo albums, we're proud to present our Family Origins coffee and encourage you to shop from family-owned businesses like TBD Coffee Co.
TASTE PROFILE: Cocoa, Floral, Citrus.
ROAST: Single Origin medium roast from Nicaragua, certified SHG (Strictly High Grown) which specifies that the coffee was grown at an altitude above 1200 meters. Coffee grown at a higher altitude and lower temperature produces a slower maturing fruit and a denser bean; which creates a more desirable specialty cup.
Our coffee is specialty grade and roasted fresh after you place your order.
Unlike grocery store and Amazon coffee, which has been sitting on shelves for an average of 4 months since the roast date.
We buy our coffee beans directly from farmers all around the world, instead of through a mass importer service.
This means the farmers get a better deal, you get a higher quality bean and we can make sure all of our coffee is sustainably and ethically grown.
