At TBD Coffee Co we offer decaf coffee for sale. Decaf is short for decaffeinated which means these products have much less caffeine than our other coffees. However, It does not mean they have zero caffeine. Decaf is good for people looking for less caffeine intake but still want the taste of their favorite coffee. These coffee beans specifically have around 97% of the caffeine taken out of them. This is done through washing the beans in water organic solvents or through carbon dioxide processes. For the washing process most of the caffeine is removed and then the solvent is removed. These processes are done before roasting and keep almost the same nutritional value as regular coffee.
